Lead Mechanical Engineer at Romeo Power

Willians Lee Tam has worked as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Romeo Power, Inc. since January 2021. Prior to their current role, they served as a Mechanical Engineer at the same company from February 2018 to October 2022. Before joining Romeo Power, Inc., they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at IQ Corporation from November 2015 to February 2018. In this role, they supported Project and Associate Engineers in designing mechanical systems for the Pharmaceutical Industries. Willians also modeled mechanical system prototypes using SolidWorks and produced and reviewed mechanical design drawings. Willians Lee Tam's earliest work experience was at Cal Poly Pomona Formula SAE, where they served as the Drivetrain Design Lead from June 2014 to August 2015. During this time, they worked on meeting team goals and designed individual components for the drivetrain system using SolidWorks 3D CAD. Willians also took on the role of Steering Design Lead from July 2013 to August 2014, where they researched, manufactured, and tested steering components of a formula style racecar. Willians analyzed and designed custom Rack and Pinion Steering System using SolidWorks and manufacturing techniques.

Willians Lee Tam completed their high school education at Colegio Peruano Chino "Diez De Octubre" from 1997 to 2007. After that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and graduated in 2015.
