NuNu Deng

NuNu Deng is a South Sudanese emerging film producer and veteran events professional based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Born in Khartoum, Sudan, and raised in the American Midwest, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and Fairfax, Virginia, she was a Dean’s Theatre Studies Scholar at The Theatre School at DePaul University. With a brief stint studying Theatre Management, she has freelanced in events for over two decades, primarily in entertainment and philanthropy. Notable roles and subcontracts include Producer for the film OTITI (2022, Nigeria/US), International Markets’ VIC Hospitality Manager at CHANEL’s Cruise 2022/23 Replica Miami (2022, Black Flower Agency, Red Carpet Guestlist Team Lead for THE BATMAN World Premiere (2022) at Lincoln Center (Black Flower Agency). Other credits encompass On-site Guestlist Management at the Official Oscar Viewing Dinner & After Party for PARASITE (2020) and Event Support at The Washington Post Live (2017). NuNu is producing, under the Sudanese Filmmaking Association, the documentary feature THE SUDANESE EXODUS (2026) and served as the Associate Production Manager for THE GATHERING: A COLLECTIVE SONIC RING SHOUT! (2024), a co-production by the National Black Theater, The Apollo, and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts’ Opera. Most recently, she served as Creative Production Manager TEKSUPPORT Rockstar Games Holiday party, an open-air Peggy Gou concert at Pier 4 at the Brooklyn Army Terminal, and the inaugural We Belong Here Festival with headliners KASKADE and Fischer at the Wollman Rink in Central Park.
