History Teacher And MIC Rowing at Rondebosch Boys' High School

James Buchanan currently serves as the Head of House and History Teacher at Rondebosch Boys' High School, a position held since January 2023. Previously, James worked at St Stithians College from September 2014 to April 2023 as a History Teacher and was the MIC and Head Coach for Rowing. Between coaching roles with Rowing South Africa, James achieved notable successes, including coaching the senior men's coxed pair at the 2016 World Rowing Championships and the junior men's coxless quad at the junior world rowing championships in 2014. James also has experience coaching at various levels within the South African Schools Rowing Federation. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Degree in Education from North-West University and a Bachelor's degree in History and Ancient History from the University of South Africa.
