Chiaki Treynor

Chiaki has devoted more than 15 years to developing and deploying breakthroughs in high-performance, low-cost materials across multiple industries. Throughout the course of her career, she has also designed and managed world-class analytical, mechanical, optical, chemical and environmental testing laboratories for companies including GlassPoint Solar, AREVA Solar, Ausra, Inc., and GE Global Research. Chiaki holds 20 patents in the U.S. and internationally, related to discoveries in renewable energy, materials science, synthetic organic chemistry, biophysics and molecular imaging. She earned a doctorate in Chemistry from Stanford University and bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Toronto.
