Katherine Harris has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Katherine currently works as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at Rondo Therapeutics, where they lead IND-enabling activities and provides strategic guidance on program progression. Prior to their current role, Katherine served as the Vice President, Discovery at Amgen. Katherine has also held various positions at Teneobio, Inc., including Vice President, Discovery, Senior Director, Discovery, Director, Discovery, and Senior Research Scientist. Before that, they worked as a Research Scientist at Panoply Bio, A Division of Active Motif and SwitchGear Genomics. Katherine's early career included roles as a Biology Instructor at Hartnell College and as a Technical Marketing Communications Consultant at Alpha Innotech. Katherine gained research experience as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Katherine also participated in NSF sponsored REU Research at the University of Missouri Research Reactor.
Katherine Harris pursued their education through various academic institutions. From 1999 to 2000, they attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following this, they enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley from 2001 to 2007. At Berkeley, Katherine pursued their academic interests in Molecular and Cell Biology, eventually earning a Ph.D. in this field.
