Sherah Carney

Sherah Carney serves as the Director of North America Royalty Audits at Universal Music Publishing Group since July 2024. Prior to this role, Sherah worked at Sony Music Publishing from September 2013 to July 2024, progressing through various positions including Associate Director of Audits and Royalty Compliance, Quality Assurance Team Lead, Manager of Audits and Royalty Compliance Administration, and Senior Analyst in Publishing Administration. Earlier experience at SESAC from 2001 to 2013 included roles such as Director and Manager of TV/Film-Royalty Distribution and Research Services, and TV/Film Administrator for Royalty Distribution and Research Services. Sherah holds a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Middle Tennessee State University and an Associate of Science in Visual Communications, specializing in Photography from Nashville State Community College.
