Laura Gilbert is a seasoned professional in recruiting and compensation with significant experience in both non-profit and educational sectors. Currently, Laura serves as the Manager of Recruiting & Compensation at Room to Read, where the mission focuses on providing quality education to children globally. Previously, Laura held various positions at Purple Squirrel, including Associate Manager and Sourcing & Business Operations Manager, specializing in filling senior and executive-level roles. Laura's earlier career includes roles such as ESL Teacher and Program Associate at IALF Education for Development, and a Literacy Intervention Tutor at Reading Partners. Laura holds a TESOL Certification from Oxford Seminars and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Government and International/Global Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
