Paul Macaulay

Paul Macaulay has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Paul is currently the Head of Finance for RoomRaccoon Hotel Tech, where they are responsible for mergers and acquisitions, taxation, internal controls, and investor relations. Prior to this role, Paul worked as a Professional Freelancer, providing consulting services to various companies, including BME, a member of the Omnia Group.

Paul also has experience as a Managing Director for Multipli Inc/Rocket Growth Capital, where they played a key role in establishing legal credentials and operating as a brokering and lending entity in the US. Paul served as the President of Finance and Administration for LEAP Legal Software, overseeing financial aspects and leading acquisitions.

In addition, Paul has held executive positions in software development companies, including GhostPractice-Korbitec and Roberthorne. Paul was the Chief Executive Officer of GhostPractice-Korbitec and successfully developed and marketed a legal practice management software solution. As the Chief Operating Officer of Roberthorne, Paul restructured the business operations and logistics to improve profitability.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked as a Financial Director for PaperlinX, where they supported managing directors and established a shared finance service division. Paul was also a General Manager of Finance for UTi Worldwide, where they created a shared service division and generated significant revenue. Paul started their career as an Internal Auditor for Bidvest Bank Limited, where they audited various divisions and discovered cash fraud.

Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated skills in mentoring, business development, budgeting, cash flow management, problem-solving, change management, and project management. Paul has extensive experience in finance, accounting, acquisitions, funding, operations, and legal matters. Paul has a track record of implementing successful strategies, developing vision, and driving businesses to success.

Paul Macaulay's education history begins with their Bachelor's Degree at Rhodes University from 1987 to 1989. Their degree focused on Accounting and Commercial Law. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, they pursued a degree in Chartered Accountancy at KPMG. Finally, they completed an Honors Bachelor of Accounting Science (Masters US) at the University of South Africa-UNISA in 1995.
