Arya Samuelson

Arya’s primary responsibilities at Root Capital include, developing high-quality proposals, reports, and fundraising tools for private and public sector donors. Arya grew up in New York City, and has since lived in many places including Oregon, California and Massachusetts. She has studied anthropology with an emphasis on gender studies and international development and also has a MFA in creative writing. Arya was drawn to her role at Root Capital because it will allow her to translate the organization’s work into powerful and compelling narratives. Outside of work, Arya spends her time writing, studying somatic therapy, dancing, cooking, and walking on the trails near her home.
