Jorge Bouchot is currently serving as the Senior Research and Impact Evaluation Manager at Root Capital since April 2023. Prior to this role, Bouchot was a Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank, focusing on research related to female labor force participation in Mexico. Bouchot’s extensive experience includes positions such as Research Consultant for the Ministry of Education & Training in Vanuatu and various consulting roles with the International Labour Organization and ODI. Bouchot also worked as an ODI Fellow in Vanuatu, engaged with both the Department of Labour and the Prime Minister's Office. Academic contributions include serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Birmingham, where Bouchot taught courses in Economics, along with roles at Banco de México and El Colegio de México. Bouchot holds a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Birmingham, a Master's in Economics from El Colegio de México, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo.
