Joe Shuker

Joe Shuker has a diverse work experience spanning over several years.

Starting in 1996, they worked as a Salesman at The Next Step, where they were responsible for product knowledge, point of sales operations, and stock room management.

In 2003, Joe joined The Creek Community Church as a Creative Arts Director. Joe developed communication strategies, managed online and social media initiatives, supervised a volunteer staff, and contributed to the church's strategic direction.

In 2010, Joe became the President of Spinning Gear Productions. As the Creative Director, they met with clients, developed strategic plans for communication initiatives, oversaw creative elements, managed production budgets, and supervised staff.

From 2013 to 2019, Joe worked as a Leadership, Business Development and Communication Consultant at The McKeckon Group. Joe provided strategic insight, business development mindset, leadership coaching, evaluative feedback, and communication consultation to executive teams, organizations, and businesses.

In 2015, Joe also served as a Consultant at STRIVE! - Governance & Leadership. Joe focused on helping leaders and teams achieve extraordinary results through organizational health.

From 2016 to 2020, Joe held the role of SVP of Business Development and Leadership at VRE Systems. Joe led the senior leadership team, developed business development strategies, implemented process flow and systems for operational effectiveness.

In 2020, Joe joined Verduyn Tarps Inc. as the Chief Operating Officer. Joe held this position until 2023, overseeing the company's operations.

Currently, Joe is serving as the Executive Vice President at Rootree Inc.

Joe Shuker is presently enrolled at Royal Roads University, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication from the same university. In 1993, Joe completed their General Studies and received an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Orchard Park Secondary School. In 2002, they studied Jazz/Jazz Studies at Humber College for three years. Additionally, in 1999 and 2000, Joe took music performance courses at McMaster University. Joe also holds two certifications: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Step I and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Step II, which they obtained from Psychometrics Canada in June 2015.
