Jean-Marc Corpart has a diverse work experience in the chemical and biobased industries. Jean-Marc worked at Roquette as the Head of Functionalization R&D, where they led research and development teams in the modification and formulation of starches, proteins, sugars, and polymers for various industries. Jean-Marc also served as the Head of Customer Technical Service and Managing Director of the Thermoplastics Business Unit at Roquette. Additionally, they held the role of Corporate Research Deputy Director. Jean-Marc Corpart was the Chairman of IFMAS, an Institute of Excellence in biobased chemistry, focused on developing thermoplastics and paints from European biomass. Prior to that, they worked at Arkema as the General Manager of Carbon Nanotubes, Director of New Business Development, and Worldwide R&D Director. Jean-Marc started their career at Elf Atochem as a Scientist and later became the R&D Department Director.

Jean-Marc Corpart obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC, France) in 1987. Jean-Marc then pursued a PhD in Chemicals and Polymers at the University of Strasbourg (France), which they completed in 1991.
