Cassandra Wesselman

Cassandra Wesselman's work experience includes serving as the Chief Marketing Officer at ROSALIND, a genomics company in San Diego. Cassandra played a key role in developing and maintaining the ROSALIND Discovery and Collaboration Platform, which simplifies bioinformatics data interpretation. Cassandra also served as the Communications & Investor Relations Officer at ROSALIND.

In addition, Cassandra worked as the Managing Director at Aspire.Capital, where they focused on placing early-stage capital for social entrepreneurs in the HealthTech, BioTech, and High-Technology sectors. Cassandra provided marketing advisory services, financial modeling, and strategic partnership alliances.

Prior to that, Cassandra was the VP of Investment Banking at Intersection Capital. Cassandra focused on raising capital for fast-growing companies, advocating for high valuations and securing funding from private equity, alternative debt, and strategic sponsors.

Cassandra's work experience also includes co-founding and serving as the Executive Director of The Love and Haiti Project. Cassandra organized on-site programs in Haiti, managed finances and non-profit filings, handled communications and social media campaigns, led fundraising efforts, designed and managed the organization's website, and coordinated volunteer logistics.

Currently, Cassandra is Chief Member at Chief, a company focused on supporting women leaders. Cassandra started this role in 2023.

Cassandra Wesselman's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. Cassandra also has a Data Analysis for Life Sciences Professional Certificate from Harvard University, with a specific focus on Genome Sciences/Genomics. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Neuroscience from UCLA. Additionally, Cassandra holds an Associates of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the College of the Canyons.

In terms of additional certifications, Cassandra obtained a Registered Finder (Broker-Dealer Exemption) certification from the California Department of Business Oversight (DBO) in April 2016. Cassandra also holds a Permaculture Design certification from the Permaculture Association, which they obtained in June 2010.
