Sam Baker

Sam Baker, PE, is a seasoned mining engineer with experience at Rosebud Mining Co. since September 2018, focusing on multiple seam interactions, project management, methane abatement, and regulatory plans and permits. Prior to this, Sam was an Operations Management Trainee at Vulcan Materials Company, where responsibilities included supervising quarry operations, participating in mine rescue efforts, and maintaining mobile equipment. Additional experience includes roles at Dimension Supply, managing explosives transport and inventory, and various internships with Peabody Energy and LafargeHolcim, where contributions involved project documentation, safety assessments, and operational support. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Penn State University.
