Science/stem Educator at Roseville Community Schools

Bob Smitka is a highly experienced Science/STEM Educator with a tenure at Roseville Community Schools since August 2006, recognized as the 2020-2021 Roseville High School Teacher of the Year. Smitka has developed and taught innovative lessons across various subjects, including AP and Honors Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science. In addition to teaching, Smitka serves as an Instructional Coach, promoting technology integration to enhance learning. Engagement with organizations such as Square One Education Network and CODE313 reflects Smitka's commitment to advancing STEM education in Michigan. With a Master of Education from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University, Smitka has also contributed to educational projects and initiatives aimed at fostering community connections and effective learning experiences.
