Liz Chaves has over 20 years of work experience and has held various finance and administrative roles in different organizations. Liz started their career as the Director of Finance and Operations at the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) from January 2001 to May 2006. During their tenure, they were responsible for implementing financial policies and procedures, tracking program budgets, managing cash flow, and preparing annual budgets.

Chaves then joined CW Capital, LLC as a Controller from June 2006 to August 2009. In this role, they successfully managed financial operations and contributed to maintaining the company's financial stability.

From August 2009 to November 2014, Chaves served as the Director of Finance and Operations at the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA). Liz implemented financial policies, prepared monthly financial statements, managed program budgets, and facilitated cross-departmental collaboration.

In December 2014, Chaves became the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Rosie's Place, where they currently work. Their responsibilities include overseeing fiscal, business, and administrative operations, developing and implementing strategies for organizational growth, establishing financial objectives aligned with the organization's strategic plan, and managing the budgeting process.

Throughout their career, Chaves has demonstrated expertise in financial management, budgeting, strategic planning, and fostering collaboration within organizations.

Liz Chaves attended Bentley University from an unknown start year to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy. In 2007, Liz briefly studied Financial Management at Harvard University, though the duration of their stay is unknown.
