Roman Shipilov

Head Of The Reserves Evaluation Section at Rosneft

Roman Shipilov has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Roman began their career at Yuganskneftegaz in 2005 as a Field Geologist. Roman then worked as a Specialist of Sidetracking Subdivision and later became a Project Manager of the New Technology Subdivision. In 2007, they joined Rosneft as a Chief Specialist with the Reserves Evaluation Section. Roman was later promoted to Deputy Head of the Reserves Evaluation Section and eventually became the Head of the Reserves Evaluation Section. In this role, they managed and coordinated the annual reserves evaluation process and supervised the calculation of reserves and resources according to industry guidelines.

Roman Shipilov obtained an Engineer's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics between 1999 and 2004. Roman went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering at Heriot-Watt University, completing it in 2005. From 2014 to 2016, Roman enrolled in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO, where they earned an Executive MBA degree in International Business in the Oil and Gas sector. Most recently, from 2022 to 2024, they attended the program in Data Science at Netrologiya.
