Darren Ward

Darren Ward has a diverse work experience in product management and business planning. Darren is currently employed at Ross Video as a Product Manager for Signal Processing. Prior to this, they worked at Molex as a Product Manager for Smart IO and FAM, where they managed a suite of early-stage Industry 4.0 products. Darren was responsible for driving them towards launch by utilizing a common hardware platform with software-defined functionality. Before Molex, Darren worked at Vineland Research and Innovation Centre as a Manager for Business Planning and Commercialization. In this role, they supported the research teams in developing business plans and mapping pathways to market for Vineland's technologies in areas such as robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, wireless sensors, and machine vision. Prior to that, they gained extensive experience at Evertz, where they held multiple roles including Senior Product Manager for Modular & Conversion Products, Product Manager for RF and Fiber Optic Products, and Product Specialist for RF and Fiber Optic Products. In these roles, Darren led the transition from SDI to IP-based infrastructure and launched successful products in the fiber optic and RF product lines, capturing significant market share. Early in their career, they worked at Pylon Electronics Inc. as a Product Manager for Power Technologies, where they managed the development of power products for the telecom, cable TV, and IT markets. Darren Ward has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Business Management from McMaster University. Darren also holds an MBA from McMaster University, specializing in Business Management of Innovation and New Technology. In addition to their formal education, Darren has also obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in October 2020.
