Product Owner at Ross Video

Paul Eom has a diverse work experience that spans a variety of roles and industries. Paul is currently working at Ross Video as a Product Owner, where they are responsible for building the future of Ross user interface and user experience using ReactJS. Prioritizing product features, tech debt, bugs, and improvements is also part of their role.

Before joining Ross Video, Paul worked at Export Development Canada as a Senior Innovation Associate and Innovation Associate. In these roles, they were involved in launching new pilot features, releasing MVPs for non-financial products, and leading the analytics and reporting capability of the products. Paul also worked as an Associate in Enterprise Information Management, where they managed business glossary terms and assisted in the technology implementation.

Paul has also gained experience in leadership roles. Paul was a Member of the Board and later became the President of The Entrepreneurs' Club (TECDE Ottawa). As President, they increased the club's membership base and events attendance rate. Paul also served as the Elevator Pitch Chair, where they recruited applicants and managed logistics for the event.

In addition, Paul has worked as a Cashier at McDonald's, an Intern at bitHeads, Inc., and a Sales Associate at 21Men. Paul also participated in the Mindtrust Leadership Development Program and held roles in Jeux du Commerce in the areas of Project Management and Human Resource Management.

Overall, Paul Eom has gained valuable experience in product management, innovation, leadership, and customer service throughout their career.

Paul Eom completed their high school education at Nepean High School, where they obtained a High School Diploma (Ontario Scholar) between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Fisher Park Public School from 2006 to 2008. In 2012, Paul enrolled at Carleton University, although the specific degree they pursued is unknown. From 2013 to 2017, they studied at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa, earning a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree with a focus on Management Information Systems and Services. Additionally, Paul has obtained several certifications, including PMC Level I from Pragmatic Institute in March 2023, Introduction to Web Development from Lighthouse Labs in December 2021, Section4 Certified Product Strategist from Section4 in May 2021, Foundations in Design Thinking from IDEO U in April 2019, and Smart Serve from The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario in July 2015.
