Dr. Ahmed Abdullah has held various research and teaching positions throughout their career. Dr.Ahmed began their work experience as a Teaching Assistant at Plymouth University in 2005. Dr.Ahmed then went on to become an Assistant Professor in Statistics at Damascus University in 2007, where they later became an Associate Professor in 2009. During their time at Damascus University, they also worked as a Consultant for ACSAD. In 2017, Dr. Abdullah joined Abertay University as a Research Fellow, before transitioning to the role of Researcher Development Officer in 2019. Dr.Ahmed also worked as a Statistical Data Scientist at Rothamsted Research in 2019.
Dr. Ahmed Abdullah completed their education with multiple degrees in the field of statistics and informatics. Dr.Ahmed obtained a Bachelor of Mathematical Sciences from albaath university in 1994. Following this, they pursued a Diploma of Higher Studies in Applied Statistics from the University of Aleppo in 1997. In 2002, they earned a Master Degree in Applied statistics from the same university. Dr. Abdullah further expanded their knowledge by completing a Master of Philosophy in Applied statistics from the University of Plymouth in 2006. Finally, they successfully obtained a PhD in Applied statistics from the University of Plymouth in 2007.
