David Marcillo

David Marcillo has extensive experience in education and writing, currently serving as the Head of the English Department and Accreditation Chair at New Designs Charter School since August 2011. In addition to this role, David Marcillo is actively involved in sports writing as the Lead Baseball Writer for RotoBaller and a Correspondent for Fantasy Pros, both since 2016 and 2015 respectively. David Marcillo has also held positions as Lead Writer and Editor for The Runner Sports since 2014 and previously worked as an English Teacher at Nexon Publishing North America for a brief period in 2011. From January 2008 to June 2011, David Marcillo was the Head of Middle School English at the International School of Broward, where curriculum development led to significant student success in state assessments. David Marcillo began a career in writing as a Research and Writing Assistant at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis from 2000 to 2007. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles and a BA in English from the University of Miami.
