Joanne Owen

Joanne Owen is an experienced writer and digital editor, currently working at Rough Guides since April 2021, focusing on researching and creating articles for the website. Simultaneously, Joanne serves as an editorial expert and reviewer for LoveReading, contributing to multiple websites and chairing LoveReading Litfest events. With a diverse background, Joanne has written for several children's book publishers since 2007 and provided freelance writing services for the National Literacy Trust from January 2019 to August 2021. Previous roles include marketing management for major travel publishing brands and content creation for various magazines, showcasing expertise in both writing and marketing strategy. Joanne holds a BA and MA in Social & Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
