Merijn Tol is an experienced culinary professional with a strong background in Mediterranean cuisine and food styling. As the owner of Oranjebloesem since January 2005, Merijn specializes in recipe writing, editorial and commercial features, and has authored cookery books focusing on the Arab Mediterranean kitchen. Co-owner of Nadia & Merijn's SOUQ since December 2014, Merijn emphasizes high-quality ingredients sourced from local producers in Lebanon, Palestine, and Morocco. In addition, Merijn serves as a culinary consultant for Arabia's Food Consulting, developing contemporary food concepts rooted in tradition. Ongoing roles include culinary editor for delicious, and contributions as a member of the Slow Food Youth Food Movement. Merijn holds a Master's degree in Communication from the University of Amsterdam.
