Benjamin Weintraub

Benjamin Weintraub is currently a Staff Scientist II at Roux, having progressed from Staff Scientist I. Previously, Benjamin gained experience as an Ecotoxicology Studies Intern at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, where responsibilities included managing bird nesting data and leading a backpack electro-fishing team. Academic research was conducted at Binghamton University under Associate Professor Michelle Withers, focusing on pedagogical strategies in STEM education. Additional roles included serving on the Undergraduate Survey Review Committee in the Department of Biological Sciences and assisting graduate research. Benjamin holds a Master of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Environmental Studies, both from Binghamton University. Previous experience also includes lifeguarding and swim instruction at several institutions.
