Manuel Ruiz-Conejo

Manuel Ruiz-Conejo held the position of VP, Operations from 2011 until August 2021. He joined Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. as VP, Business Development in 2008 and was appointed VP, Project Development in 2009. Manuel is a mining engineer and executive with extensive engineering, financial, and community relations experience in Peru. As an executive, he devised and supervised the execution of several multimillion-dollar mining deals. Before joining Fortuna, Manuel was Chief Operating Manager of Minera Atacocha, now Nexa Resources. He graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Peru in 1987 and graduated from the Executive Management Program at the Universidad de Piura in Peru in 2001.
