Nick Manning

Nick Manning is an experienced sound designer and technical manager with a diverse background in theatre sound production. Currently serving as the Assistant Technical Manager and Head of Sound & Video at the Royal Opera House's Linbury Theatre since September 2018, Manning has also been a small-wire termination specialist at Push The Button Ltd since October 2020. With freelance experience dating back to 1999, notable projects include sound design for the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, earning an Olivier nomination for Best Sound Design for "Ghost Stories" in 2011, and winning an Outstanding Design award for "Metamorphosis" at the Elliot Norton Awards in Boston. Previous roles include Head of Sound at the Lyric Hammersmith for 19 years and sound design contributions for various productions across different theatres. Manning completed a BTec HND in Stage Management from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
