Michael Efthymiou

Michael Efthymiou is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community safety, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Senior Community Safety Officer at the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Michael leads initiatives related to Counter Terrorism, Prevent Duty, and Protective Security. Previous roles include Prevent Education Programme Manager, where responsibilities encompassed risk analysis and training delivery, and Youth Violence, Vulnerability and Exploitation Project Officer, focusing on safeguarding youth in relation to gangs. Prior experience at The Challenge involved overseeing high-quality programs for young participants and managing teams effectively. Michael's background also includes roles in education and administration concerning gang violence, alongside experience in the performing arts and marketing, complemented by a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Central Lancashire.
