Mike Jones

National Lead For Quality Improvement at Royal College of General Practitioners

Mike Jones has extensive experience in the healthcare field. Mike started working at The Hurley Group in 2013 as the Local Medical Director, a position they held until 2019. During this time, they also served as the Deputy Medical Director from 2019 until 2022. Since 2022, they have been working as a GP Partner at The Hurley Group. In 2015, Mike joined UCLPartners as the Primary Care Improvement Lead, where they worked until 2018. Additionally, they have held positions at the Royal College of General Practitioners as the National Lead for Quality Improvement since 2019, and at NHS England as a Senior Clinical Appraiser since 2016.

Mike Jones completed their education at multiple prestigious institutions. Mike'seducation history includes a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Nottingham in 2002. Mike then pursued their medical education at the University of Nottingham and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) degree in 2004. Mike went on to specialize in surgery and earned a Membership Certificate of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009. Mike further expanded their medical expertise by obtaining a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) from the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2012. In 2016, Mike briefly studied Health Economics and Applied Cost-Effective Analysis at the University of Oxford. Mike later pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Healthcare Leadership and Improvement from Hult International Business School, completing it in 2019. Currently, Mike is pursuing an Executive MBA degree in Business Administration and Management from Cambridge Judge Business School, with an expected completion in 2024.
