Katherine Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the music industry. Katherine began their career at Rhinegold Publishing Ltd in 2007 as a Commissioning Editor, where they worked until 2009. Katherine then moved on to ABRSM in 2010, where they served as a Print Executive for the whole year. In 2011, they joined the Royal College of Music as a Web and Publications Officer and stayed in this role until 2014. Later on, they were promoted to Marketing Manager, a position they held until 2022. In February 2022, Katherine took on the role of Head of Marketing at the Royal College of Music.
Katherine Smith obtained a Certificate in Digital Marketing from The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing in 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music from 2006 to 2007. In 2003, they earned a BMus degree in Music from the University of Oxford. Katherine attended Charterhouse School in Guildford from 2000 to 2002, and before that, they were a student at the RCM Junior Department from 1995 to 2002.
