Lourens Swanepoel

Lourens Swanepoel has worked in various roles throughout their career. Lourens started their career as an Assistant Operations Manager at Bophuthatswana Transport Holdings (BTH) in 1988. Lourens then worked as a Senior Transport Economist at TransEcon Management Services from 1991 to 1994. Swanepoel went on to become the Director of Public Transport at Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality from 1994 to 2009. In 2009, they joined Royal HaskoningDHV as a Principal Associate focused on Public Transport. Lourens was later promoted to the position of Principal. Swanepoel continued their career at Royal HaskoningDHV (Pty) Ltd. from 2011 onwards, where they hold the role of Principal.

Lourens Swanepoel obtained a Matric degree from Hoerskool President, JHB in 1982. Lourens then went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Transport Economics from Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) in 1988. In 1991, they completed a B Com (Honours) degree in Transport Economics at Rand Afrikaans University (RAU). In 2000, Lourens Swanepoel pursued a Masters of Business Leadership (MBL) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
