Tony Minns

Tony Minns has a diverse range of work experience in the field of water and environmental research. Tony has held positions at various organizations including Royal HaskoningDHV, Deltares, HKV Lijn in Water / HKV Consultants, Goyder Institute for Water Research, WL | Delft Hydraulics, University of South Australia, UNESCO-IHE, and the University of Idaho. Throughout their career, Tony has worked as a project director, expert advisor, business developer, senior advisor, director, scientific director, head of department, associate professor, course leader, and visiting professor. Tony'sexpertise spans areas such as environmental hydrodynamics, coastal and river engineering, flood risk assessment, water resources engineering, hydroinformatics, and eco-hydraulics. Tony Minns has a strong background in research and has made significant contributions to water management and policy development.

Tony Minns has an extensive education history in the field of Hydroinformatics and Civil Engineering. Tony obtained a PhD in Hydroinformatics from both Delft University of Technology and UNESCO-IHE in 1998. Prior to that, they completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Computational Hydraulics at IHE-Delft in 1985. Tony Minns began their education journey by earning a BEng in Civil Engineering from the University of South Australia in 1982. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also hold a certification in Project Management Simplified from LinkedIn, obtained in 2023.
