Chief Economist at Royal Mail

Soterios Soteri has extensive work experience, with their most recent position being as Chief Economist at Royal Mail since April 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the Commercial and Economics, Letters & Network, Finance Director at the same company from October 2016. Before that, they were the Head of Economics Forecasting at Royal Mail from December 2007 to September 2016. Soteri initially joined Royal Mail in August 1999 as an Economist & Senior Economist, where they worked on various labor economics and econometrics projects. Soterios also worked as a Policy Officer at the Trades Union Congress (TUC) from 1997 to 1999, a Research Officer at the Civil and Public Services Association (CPSA) from 1995 to 1997, and a Research Officer at The National Institute of Economic & Social Research (NIESR) from September 1989 to January 1995.

Soterios Soteri completed a BSc (2:1) degree in Economics from Queen Mary University of London, which they attended from 1984 to 1987. Soterios further pursued an MSc degree in Economics at Queen Mary College, University of London from 1988 to 1989.
