Alan Smith

Alan Smith is currently a trustee at the Royal Ontario Museum, and they previously worked for both the Ontario government and EY. Alan began their career at EY in June 1981 and worked their way up to CFO and partner before retiring in December 2019. Throughout their multi-decade career, Alan has been widely respected for their financial expertise and ability to navigate complex organizations. Alan's retirement from EY was bittersweet, but they are excited to begin this new chapter in their life and continue serving the community in new ways.

Alan Smith has a B. Com from the University of Toronto - Victoria University in Accounting and is certified from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) as a CPA.
