Dave Brewin

Dave Brewin has extensive work experience in the health and information technology sector. Dave currently holds the position of Vice President Digital Health and Regional Chief Information Officer at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Prior to this role, they served as the Regional Chief Information Officer at CARE 4 - Regional IT Partnership, where they played a key role in the digital transformation of healthcare systems.

Before joining CARE 4, Brewin worked at Alberta Health Services, holding various executive positions including Executive Director - IT Corporate Services and Executive Director - Clinical Informaiton System Program Strategy and Standards. Dave also served as the Executive Director, Provincial Access Team, Office of the Chief Development Officer, where they supported the development and execution of the provincial IT strategic plan.

Earlier in their career, Brewin worked at General Electric Healthcare as a Performance Solutions Consultant.

Throughout their career, Brewin has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in healthcare IT, digital transformation, and strategic planning.

Dave Brewin has a strong educational background. Dave received a B.Sc. Eng in BioMedical Engineering from the University of Guelph in 1999. Dave then pursued further studies and obtained an M.H.Sc in Clinical Engineering from the University of Toronto from 1999 to 2001. In 2010, they enrolled in Athabasca University and successfully completed their Executive MBA in 2014. Additionally, Dave Brewin has obtained professional certifications including the PROSCI Change Management Practitioner from Prosci in 2014 and the Professional Engineer designation from APEGGA in 2003.
