Ben Chappell is a versatile performer, recording artist, chamber musician, and producer, with extensive experience in various prestigious orchestras and musical ensembles. Currently serving as the Assistant Principal Cellist for Britten Sinfonia since 1993, Ben also engages in multiple roles, including St Paul’s String Quartet member, Cellist and Guest Principal with the London Mozart Players and Aurora Orchestra, and Guest Principal Cellist with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. In addition, Ben collaborates with the John Wilson Orchestra and Sinfonia of London. Since 2008, Ben has managed concert administration for Second Sunday Concerts and obtained the RYA Coastal Skipper certification in 2021. Ben's musical education was completed at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
