Youssef Khairane

Youssef Khairane has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of soccer coaching. Youssef is currently working as the U14 Elites Head Coach at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise since November 2022, and previously held the position of U13 Elites Head Coach in the same club from August 2021 to November 2022. Before joining Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, Youssef gained coaching experience at Sporting Bruxelles FC, where they served as the U19 Head Coach in the IRIS League Brussels from July 2019 to August 2021, and as the U17 Head Coach in the same league from January 2017 to June 2019. Prior to that, they were the U15 Head Coach at RSD Jette Football Club from July 2015 to June 2017. Youssef also had coaching roles at Ecole des jeunes - Football Club Crossing de Schaerbeek as the U13 Head Coach from July 2012 to May 2015, White Star Football Academy as the U16 Head Coach from July 2010 to June 2011, Manchester United as a Soccer Schools Youth Coach from September 2008 to August 2009, Brentford Football Club as the U13 Youth Coach (Centre of Excellence) from August 2008 to June 2009, Fulham Football Club as a part-time Community Coach from September 2008 to May 2009, and RSD Jette Football Club as the U16 Head Coach from July 2006 to June 2008, and the U14 Head Coach from July 2004 to June 2006. Youssef Khairane has a diverse education history in the field of sports coaching and football. In 1986-1988, they attended University Hassan 2 Casablanca, where they studied English Literature. Later, in 1989-1990, they obtained a Certificat d’Initiateur de Football from the Federation Française de Football. In 1999-2000, Youssef attended West London College, where they earned a Diploma in Business Administration and Information Technology.

In terms of football-specific education, Youssef pursued a Uefa A licence from the Royal Belgian Football Association from 2004 to 2008. Youssef then completed the FA Youth Award (17-21 years) from the English FA in 2009. Moving forward, they took various courses from the Professional Football Scouts Association, including Introduction Into Football Scouting, Level 1 Technical Scouting In Football, Level 2 Talent ID, Level 2 Opposition Analysis, and Level 3 Advanced Reporting, all in 2020. In 2019, they attended the Royal Belgian Football Association once again and completed the Coaching and Leadership in Football program, as well as the Football Talent Identification course.

Continuing with their football education, Youssef pursued several specialized courses. In 2013, they completed the Athletic Preparation For the Future Season program from the Royal Belgian Football Association. Moving ahead to 2014, they obtained a degree in Football Coach Psychology from the same institution. In 2015, they focused on Scouting and Performance Analysis, as well as Emotional Aspects in Football, both through the Royal Belgian Football Association.

Furthermore, they attended the English FA in 2021 for an Introduction to Talent Identification course. Youssef has also pursued additional football education internationally. In 2023, they attended The Open University for a program in Exploring Sport Coaching and Psychology, and they completed the Barça Coach Academy Level 1 in Football Coaching at the Universitat de Barcelona in the same year.
