Mine Planning (presales) Consultant

About the Role

RPMGlobal is currently seeking an experienced mine planning and scheduling engineer with experience in mining software solutions to join our Kazakhstan operations.

The Mine Planning (Presales) Consultant will support the software sales team during presales activities, with a specific focus on RPM’s Mine Scheduling and Planning solutions. Additionally, the role will assist in the delivery and implementation of software solutions within the region.

This role ideally suits a qualified Mining Engineer who wants to use their industry experience to help develop technology solutions for everyday mining challenges. You will apply your mining engineering skills to provide technical support during software demonstrations, sales engagements, software solution implementations, client training, and post-go-live support activities.

This is a permanent full-time role based in our Almaty office. Regular domestic and international travel is a requirement of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Scope, configure and implement RPM Software for clients with a focus on the RPM Mine Planning and Scheduling solutions.
• Provide training and post-go-live support and be a client liaison for existing clients.
• Assist with the provision of general software consulting services as required.
• Develop and maintain client relationships in the region.
• Identify new clients for both RPM Software solutions and Consulting services.
• Match client needs to RPM software and service offerings.
• Maintain a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Assist the RPM software sales team in promoting the use of RPM software to potential clients.
• Ensure client requirements are adequately defined and recorded.
• Manage the technical evaluation phase of the sales cycle for prospective RPM clients.

About You

• Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering.

• Previous experience in implementing mining software solutions.

• Previous site-based experience in a mine planning and/or operational capacity.

• Computer literacy with mainstream mining software.

• The ability to communicate complex solutions to a variety of stakeholders, from technical to non-technical.

• Ability to foster and manage commercial relationships with a focus on cross-selling and upselling.

• Strong command of the English language in both verbal and written form.

• Available to travel both domestically and internationally.

• Must be legally entitled to work in Kazakhstan and based in Almaty.

• Willingness to learn.
