Celeste Maksim

Celeste Maksim, PhD, RAC has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Celeste is currently serving as the Head of Product at Fern.ai, an AI/ML platform that specializes in life sciences compliance and regulatory management. Prior to this, they were the Head of Product and the Chief of Staff, Clinical & Post-Market Practice at RQM+, where they provided regulatory and quality consulting services to medical device and IVD manufacturers. Celeste also worked as a Principal Consultant and Senior Consulting Specialist at RQM+, focusing on regulatory and quality consulting services for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and IVD industries. Before joining RQM+, Celeste worked at Medpace as a Regulatory Affairs Associate and a Medical Writer, responsible for regulatory strategy development, IND submissions, clinical study report writing, and data analysis. Celeste started their career as an Assistant Professor at Northern Kentucky University, where they taught chemistry courses and conducted research in medical diagnostics, drug delivery, and bio-economy applications.

Celeste Maksim, PhD, RAC completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Northern Kentucky University from 2004 to 2008. Celeste then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Analytical and Materials Chemistry from Indiana University Bloomington from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, they furthered their studies in Electroanalytical Chemistry at Peking University. Additionally, they obtained a Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) from the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) in June 2017.
