Rashad Nabiyev currently serves as the Minister at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport since January 2021. Prior to this role, Nabiyev was the CEO and Chairman of the Board at Azercosmos Open Joint Stock Company from January 2011 to January 2021, and held the position of Head of the Department of Finance and Economic Analysis at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan from June 2004 to January 2011. Earlier experience includes work as an Economist at the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan from October 2002 to June 2004 and as a Chief Expert in the Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan between November 1997 and January 2000. Rashad Nabiyev holds a Master's degree in Economics from East Carolina University, completed Executive Education in Public Financial Management at Harvard University, and earned a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the Academy of the Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
