George McWilliams has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. George started their career in 2002 as an R&D Engineer Intern at American Electric Power, where they developed data acquisition and analysis tools for battery management systems. George then worked as an Embedded Software Engineer Intern at Harris Corporation in 2004, focusing on the development of software applications for real-time embedded computers. In the same year, they started their graduate degree coursework at The Ohio State University, where they became a Research Assistant and developed autonomous micro-helicopters for an indoor cooperative control testbed. At Southwest Research Institute, George worked as a Research Engineer from 2006 to 2011, contributing to the development of an autonomous vehicle's software architecture. Since 2011, they have been employed at RRAI, initially as a Senior Engineer and later progressing to Director of Advanced Programs and Vice President of Advanced Programs. Currently, George holds the position of Head of Engineering, RRAI Defense.
George McWilliams completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2004. George then went on to obtain their Master's degree in the same field from The Ohio State University between 2004 and 2006.
