Matt Makofske is currently a Senior Healthcare Analyst at RS21. Prior to that, they worked as an Application Systems Analyst Expert with Presbyterian Healthcare Services from April 2020 to June 2021. There, they supported the development of custom applications that made it easier for patients to manage their healthcare seamlessly. Matt also served as scrum master, helping a new team build a sustainable and learning-oriented operation and SDLC.

Makofske also has experience working with data and analytics teams. Matt previously worked as a Senior Business Analyst, Analytics with the ECHO Institute from May 2017 to April 2020. There, they helped build a data and analytics team from just a few spreadsheets, a student, and himself to a 6-person operation managing a series of data warehouses, initiatives, dashboards, and tools for Project ECHO’s global network of 370+ hospitals, health systems, universities, and community organizations. Matt also led data literacy training and thought leadership across staff and partners, raising Project ECHO’s collective ability to engage with, understand, and leverage both simple and complex operations data.

Matt Makofske has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, Organizational and Community Learning from The University of New Mexico. Matt also has a Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory & Political Science from The University of New Mexico. Matt is certified by The University of New Mexico in Passport to Leadership and by the Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout. Matt is also certified by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
