Joyce Banus

Joyce Banus is an experienced theater educator and mentor, currently serving as a theater docent at GST and rsg de Borgen since September 2019, while also teaching at Garage TDI since 2018. Previous experience includes retail sales at Meertens Meubelen from 2014 to January 2020 and several internships focused on theatre direction and cultural programming. Joyce has completed various courses in dance history, art history, and spatial design at Anton de Kom University in 2018. Furthermore, contributions to cultural initiatives include directing plays about Surinamese history and designing a TV program to enhance cultural engagement in Suriname. Joyce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater Education from NHL Stenden, obtained in 2019, and a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Social Education from NHL Hogeschool, completed in 2014.
