Greg Mandelman has a diverse work experience spanning several sectors and roles. Greg most recently worked at RSG - Resource Systems Group, Inc. as the Vice President of Market Research. Prior to that, they were at Kevala, Inc. where they held multiple positions, including Director of Transportation Electrification and Advisory Strategy and Principal of Transportation Electrification.
Before their time at Kevala, Greg worked at Guidehouse as an Associate Director of Mobility Solutions & Modeling. In this role, they oversaw the development of new modeling capabilities for the company's Vehicle Analytics & Simulation Tool (VAST) software suite and led various EV adoption and infrastructure projects.
Greg also has a significant background in the energy industry. Greg held various roles at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, including Principal Analytics Lead for Energy Efficiency Portfolio Optimization, Principal Investment Analyst for Corporate Strategy & Investment, Manager of Analytics & Research for Customer Energy Programs, Team Lead for Rates Modeling, and Senior Strategic Analyst for Demand Response and SmartMeter Products.
Additionally, Greg has experience in the public sector, having worked at the City of Cupertino as an Environmental Affairs Fellow, where they designed tools to manage the city's progress toward Green Business re-certification and supported the development of an outreach program. Greg also worked at the City of Sunnyvale as a Public Policy Fellow in the Office of the City Manager.
Outside of the United States, Greg served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Bangladesh as an English Teacher for the Department of Youth Development. Greg also worked as the Strategic Programs Manager at Holy Cross Centre Trust and as the Women's Shelter Program Director and IT Manager at Peace House, Inc.
Throughout their career, Greg has demonstrated expertise in market research, transportation electrification, energy analytics, modeling, and sustainability.
Greg Mandelman earned their BA degree in Sociology and Psychology from UC Santa Barbara, where they attended from 1999 to 2003. Subsequently, they pursued further education and completed an MPP degree at the University of Michigan. Their time at the University of Michigan spanned from 2008 to 2010, during which they focused their studies on areas such as Quantitative Analysis, Program Evaluation, and Energy Regulation.
