Lieuwe Hylkema

Lieuwe Hylkema is an experienced HV Protection Engineer currently employed at RSGx since July 2021, contributing to the FMG Pilbara Transmission Project in Western Australia. Prior to this role, Lieuwe worked as a Commissioning Engineer at EPS Group Australia, overseeing the testing and commissioning of high voltage substations for QCLNG gas compression facilities. Lieuwe's extensive background includes roles as a Protection Technician at Electronet Transmission and Transfield Services, and as a Supervisor for Test and Commissioning at Tenix, focusing on both secondary and primary HV equipment. Earlier experience spans positions at AREVA, Alstom, and Tasman Electrical Ltd where responsibilities included maintenance, testing, and commissioning of substations and engineering projects. Educational qualifications include a NZ Certificate of Engineering in Electrical, Power Transmission And Generation from the Central Institute of Technology in New Zealand.
