Vice President - Aerospace at RS&H

Andrew Nelson has extensive work experience in the aerospace and commercial space sectors. Since 2022, they have been serving as the Vice President - Aerospace at RS&H, where they lead the Aerospace Practice within the Infrastructure Group. In this role, they provide innovative solutions and guidance to clients and their team, leveraging the capabilities of RS&H in the rapidly evolving commercial space sector.

Prior to this, Nelson has held various leadership positions. From 2017, they have been the Chairman of the ASTM F47 - Commercial Space Standards Committee, where they lead the development of voluntary consensus standards for the commercial spaceflight industry.

In 2015, Nelson founded Nelson Aerospace Consulting Associates, a boutique consultancy specializing in Deep Technology, Communications, Aerospace, and Space disciplines. As the Founder and President, they advise clients ranging from private equity firms to government clients on various aspects of the commercial space industry.

In the past, Nelson has also held leadership roles at XCOR Aerospace, Morgan Stanley, Major Investment Bank, Booz Allen Hamilton, and other organizations.

Andrew Nelson completed their MBA in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Tech Strategy at MIT Sloan School of Management from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Micro Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1999. Andrew also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985.
