Denitsa Pocheva-Smith

Denitsa Pocheva-Smith, Esq., CHC has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Denitsa started their career as a Student Attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic in 2010 and then worked as a Law Clerk at Hodsdon & Clifford LLC from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they joined the Law Offices of Paul M. Monzione, P.C. as a Litigation Attorney from 2011 to 2014. Denitsa then worked at Advanced Patient Advocacy as a Legal Appeals Analyst I-III from 2014 to 2018. Currently, they hold various roles at Knowtion Health, including Assistant General Counsel from 2018 to 2022, VP, Legal & Compliance from 2023 to 2024, and currently as VP of Legal & Compliance Officer.

Denitsa Pocheva-Smith, Esq., CHC obtained a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the University of Maine School of Law, where they studied from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a five-year program at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, earning a Master of Law degree in Law from 2001 to 2006. Denitsa completed their high school education at English Language School Geo Milev Ruse from 1997 to 2001, focusing on English Language. Additionally, Denitsa Pocheva-Smith holds a Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) certification from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), SCCE & HCCA, obtained in October 2022.
