Charles Hill

Charles has a background in Unix/Linux systems administration along with enterprise application support. An open source fan, he enjoys reading and learning about non-proprietary tools and software. Charles lives in Portland, Oregon by way of Rochester, NY and San Diego, Ca. He graduated from the University of Redlands, BSIS. He has done volunteer service at Free Geek, a 501(c) (3) with a mission to sustainably reuse technology, enable digital access, and provide education to create a community that empowers people to realize their potential. Furthermore, he and his partner have several cats, one has reached an old age and will soon move to the other side of life. He has an interest in Cybersecurity, he’s done the course work for the Security Plus certification program. When not working he enjoys listening to a sci-fi audiobook, listening to a technology podcast or obsessing on 70’s/80’s music and lyrics. Charles also served in the Navy stationed on an aircraft carrier.
