Ian Simms

Ian has drawn on his past as a cancer survivor for inspiration through his career as an analytical chemist. Bringing a wealth of chemistry knowledge to the team, he leads their mass spectrometry efforts and operations within the laboratory. His focus on targeted metabolomics will aid the ongoing effort to identify the chemical signatures of long covid and, ultimately, new targets for possible treatments. Ian enjoys racing sailboats and spending time on the water in his spare time.
