Michelle Skene

Michelle Skene is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in various roles within the education sector. Currently serving as a National Curriculum Consultant at Rubicon Publishing Inc. since March 2024, Michelle previously held the position of Professional Learning Ambassador at Knowledgehook, where the focus was on empowering math teachers across Ontario. As Principal of both Kanata Montessori and Cedar Ridge High School, Michelle demonstrated leadership in educational settings, while also serving as an Academic Guidance Counsellor to guide students toward optimal university programs. Michelle's foundational experience includes over two decades at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as an Educator and Instructional Coach, alongside a significant role as a Part-time Professor at the University of Ottawa. Michelle's expertise extends to authorship and consultancy with Pearson, contributing to national educational resources. Academically, Michelle holds degrees from Queen's University and is pursuing a Master’s in Education from Yorkville University, focusing on Educational Leadership.
