Control Engineer at Rubicon Water

Yaqi Zhu has work experience spanning from 2010 to 2019. Yaqi started their career as a Secretary at the Electric Drive and Control Laboratory in August 2010, where they assisted with verification and validation tests and created a database for experimental equipment and instruments. In September 2010, they became a Research Assistant at the Electric Drive and Control Laboratory, where they developed a sensorless BLDC motor controller and collaborated with engineers from Tianyi company for verification and validation purposes. Yaqi wrote technical reports during this role, which ended in June 2011. In March 2019, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at MagicPi until June 2019. Currently, Yaqi Zhu is employed as a Control Engineer at Rubicon Water, starting in July 2019.

Yaqi Zhu has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. They began their studies in 2007 at the Harbin Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering in 2011. After completing their undergraduate degree, Yaqi Zhu enrolled at the Beijing Institute of Technology. From 2011 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree, also in Mechanical Engineering.

In 2014, Yaqi Zhu furthered their education by joining the University of Melbourne, where they embarked on a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program focused on Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in the Control group. They successfully completed this degree in 2018.

Furthermore, Yaqi Zhu has acquired several additional certifications to expand their skill set. In December 2018, they obtained a certification in "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)" from Coursera. Subsequently, in March 2019, they obtained certifications in "Machine Learning" and "Python for Data Science" from the same institution. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Python Data Structures" from Coursera in December 2018.
